Like the lovely Sugar (of Modern Organinc Living) suggested, I've been on the hunt for an area rug (probably 5' x 8') for our living room. I've heard so many good things about FLOR, so I decided to peruse their website for some inspiration and came across a few rugs that I really, really loved:
I'm leaning adding toned-down teals or blues in the way of either a rug or throw pillows or both. I really want a rug with color just because I think a neutral color would be hard to keep clean (especially with two pups that like to roll around in dirt every once and a while). I'm really happy with FLOR's service- $5 for three samples and it took about five days to arrive in my mailbox, so I wouldn't discount ordering from them. I also like the idea of having a rug that's more versatile (replacable pieces in the case of stains/ the ability to size down a larger rug to mix things up or relocate it).
I think the problem here is that my husband tends to be a "big picture" person. He has a really hard time visualizing the final outcome during the in-between stages (uh, this happened while I was planning our wedding). Maybe I need to create an inspiration board just for him....
