China Bracelets

November 2, 2010

Yesterday, I got the Anthropologie catalog in the mail (yay!).  I may not be able to afford shopping there as frequently as I would like, but that doesn't mean I don't love looking.  I think they do a great job of designing their catalogs and displaying items in their store fronts.  Anyways, I was flipping through the catalog and came across these:

China bracelets.  Where oh where had I seen these before?  A quick google search, and tada (sorry, I'm not sure on whose blog I originally saw these):

Seller StayGoldMaryRose sells them too.  She'll actually make any teacup you send her into a bracelet too!  It kind of makes me want to go search for the perfect teacup.  Her bracelets are also a little better priced than those at Anthropologie.

It seems a little odd to me that when I google "teacup bracelet", a majority of the links feature the etsy seller.  Perhaps she's a wholeseller for Anthro?  I really hope that's the case and not that Anthropologie has decided to rip off her idea.

What do you think- would you wear china as jewelry?

Gorgeous! Anthro has been doing a number of etsy collaborations lately (http://doublyhappy.blogspot.com/2010/11/book-em-and-wear-em.html) so I wouldn't be surprised if this is one as well.

Oh, cool! I've never seen these before. They're cute! I wonder if they're delicate.

Hello my dear. It's Abigail of Staygoldmaryrose here. Thank you so much for featuring my bracelets on your beautiful blog. I am very pleased to inform you that I have indeed collaborated with the wonderful Anthropolgie. I have designed a whole bunch of bracelets for them. Thank you for your concern and keep up the good work! Abigail MaryRose. X
